My Love Languages are Gifts and Service

February 13, 2009

Right about now, the cute girls in my office are getting my little Valentine’s gift… these yarn hearts.

I found this idea on the Craftzine blog (the most active little bloggie on my Google Reader), and I kept it in mind for V-Day. It was actually easier than I thought, and I was able to use scrap material and old unused yarn.

Materials:

  • A spool of fluffy yarn
  • Scissors
  • Yo’ fingers
  • Sticks (I used some branches from these rascal trees.)
  • Fast-drying glue
  • Black construction paper

Initially, I followed this tutorial, which was quite easy.

Then, I grabbed my branches, and stuck them right on through each heart.

Next, I cut out little arrow ends, and secured them with glue.

Voila! Cute little Valentines that will not add calories to your diet!
