Friday Feast: Homemade Bloody Mary
In our almost six years of marriage (and two and a half years of dating), JD has coaxed me to try spicier and more tasteful foods, as well as sushi. In return, I introduced JD to crawfish, crabs and other Louisiana specialties. But, it is fun to experience a new taste together. At a Tennessee Titans tailgate a few years ago, JD and I tried a very spicy homemade bloody mary, and I think that was a big turning point for his tastebuds. Since, he has really grown to love the taste of tomato juice, which is especially surprising from a guy who doesn’t really love tomatoes.
In a few weeks, our close friends are getting married, and JD and I will be hosting a few friends at our home. I am making a big breakfast the morning after the bachelor party (I’m sure I’ll show you all those food details), and I suggested finding a good bloody mary recipe. JD was all for it. We decided to try out the recipe this week in preparation, and we discovered an awesome concoction.
So, I kind of poached this recipe from a blog and don’t feel completely comfortable copying and pasting it, so here’s the link from Former Chef. And, here’s our cruddy picture of our creation. Otherwise, I strongly encourage you to visit this site to see the combination. Ingredients include dijion mustard, Tabasco, horseradish, worchestershire sauce, and lemon and lime juices. YUM.

So glad you found my recipe and liked it! :-) Enjoy!
Please, oh, please try it on me the next time I come up! A yummy Bloody Mary sounds so good! Love you, ~MamaStu
