Here’s the deal…

Hi hi!

So, I had a good conversation with my friend Courtney over the weekend about where I thought I’d go with this blog now that I’m a mama and have other things going on. Even after she and I chatted about it, I kept thinking… how am I going to be able to keep up Kate Schmate with everything that I have on my plate right now? Since I’ve been back at work, any free time I have I want to spend hanging out with Maggie and JD. At first glance, it feels overwhelming to keep up this blog at all.

But, I’ve had this blog baby since 2008. It’s been such a creative outlet for me, and I have years of working on it. I’m not at all ready to let it go, but I also don’t have a ton of time to give you original content… Currently my life feels like the painting above: a bunch of stuff that doesn’t really go together… but at least it’s gathered into one pile.

So, here’s the deal: I’m just not going to be that consistent. Some days I’ll have posts, most days I won’t, and Friday Feasts? They’ll probably be pretty sparse. I’m just going to give myself a break and not feel guilty if I can’t and don’t post. I appreciate when you do visit though, and I’ll try to give you fun stuff when I can.

Thanks for sticking with me, folks. I won’t be too far away!
