LA + TN = TN
A couple of months back, I received a wonderful gift in the mail from friend Jessica, and I am so excited to share it with you. (Remember how awesome Jessica was during Kate Schmate Maternity Leave here, here, here, and here??)
Jessica is by far one of the most thoughtful long-distance friends I have. She is a kind note-writer, has gifted me sweet books and other little presents, and just surprises me with truly warm and heartfelt exchanges. I am so thankful for her and her friendship.
This particular gift was a bit more strategic that involved contacting JD, and I love the extra effort that contributed to all of this. Below is the surprise gift I received, and JD can attest to the squeal I let out when I opened it.
Since I am from Louisiana, and JD is originally from Tennessee (although he lived most of his life in Georgia), and now Maggie is born in Tennessee, Jessica created a wonderful print that represents what happens when one mommy state loves another daddy state very much!
The print is now hanging perfectly in our nursery (see the full tour here), and I think it fits well in the “parent corner.” Don’t you?
