Our First Big Party

February 3, 2009

invite

Our house was full of excitement on Saturday night when JD and I (along with some friends) hosted an engagement party for our buddies Graham and Claire. We guessed there were 55 folks who attended… a pretty good number for the first shindig our home has seen! I loved all the party details and wanted to share the event eye candy with you.

I actually got about fifteen minutes to sit down and chat with some friends, a rarity when you are a host! Here is a picture of me and JD laughing. About the time this picture was taken, I thought about the fact that it was the two of us, alone in the quiet kitchen, just two hours prior!

I like how your four clocks are fighting each other for the right time.

I also like the delicious meat. And the cheese. And the beer. I can taste it.

Also, I like you both. See you soon.

Nate, the clocks are different times because the theme of the party was “Around the Clock” and guests bought Graham and Claire gifts that they could use at certain parts of the day. Who’s fighting now?

The meat, the cheese and the beer WILL be tasted when you come to our house on the 27th. The greatest weekend of the year is quickly approaching!
