Making Use of Great Space
There is a big blank wall right above our new kitchen table that is waiting to be filled. I am having a hard time deciding what to do with it just yet, mostly because I know it is such a focal point for our main living area. Also, the ideas I have are a bit expensive.
Keep in mind that the wall is a lightly-sponged tan combo of colors, next to dark brown curtains and a dark brown dining room table.
Regardless, I’ve narrowed it down to four ideas…
1. Amy Giacomelli’s “Tide Pools,” which you all know is my favorite nowadays.
2. Etsy shop baileydoesntbark Four Seasons wall decor.
3. Suzanna Anna’s tree set… I love the colors, and I think it would fill the space with the right color scheme.
4. White shelves (two, in the shape of an equal sign) with revolving art work on each shelf. This could be a fun place to make changes to the look and feel of our house by just changing the art. This would be especially fun when we have kids and they start creating their own masterpieces. To illustrate this, I cannot seem to find my original inspiration, but this pic from Desire to Inspire will show you what I mean.
Also, this “sneak peek” from Design*Sponge does a good job showing what I mean too.
So, which one do you like best?? I think I’m leaning toward one, but I would love to know what you think before I decide!
Tide pools is my favorite, though I like the idea of the shelves and being able to display great things, too. so fun!!
My favorite is the tree set- #3!
Not #2.
I love the tidal pools by themselves, but I think the trees would fit in the best with the color scheme. However, the white shelves would be best for practicality and interesting art-display.
:)
I really like #3 too. The colors are beautiful and the arrangement would make a nice, big, bold, beautiful statement. By the way, I am loving your site. This is my first visit.
