Lunch Schmunch

April 7, 2009

In 2009, JD and I have done a pretty awesome job sticking to our budget. We’ve been eating out less, saying no to random expenditures, and bringing our lunch to work. After being consistent with our homemade lunches for three months, we realized today that we’ve been lazily packing our midday meals in plastic Publix bags… not exactly environment-friendly. So here are some finds on my lunch tote quest:

Greenstreet Bags sells snack sets and sandwich bags with cute designs. (The shop looks only a few days old, and if you hurry, you can take advantage of the BOGO offer.)

Julie Meyer uses oil cloth for totes, bibs and cleaning gloves. I like this peapod Lunch In-Style Bag.

For a different, more beige approach, EvelynFields has several sets of snack bags. Why not bring a little Paris to lunch with you?

Finally, WasteNotSaks have a fun cotton exterior and a nylon interior, perfect for sandwiches, carrot sticks or pretzels!

Boy, do these lunch-toting options ever look masculine.
