I may freak out my faithful mother-readers Mom and Mama Stu after I say this, but lately I’ve been thinking a lot about getting a tattoo. (I think I just heard my mom all the way in Louisiana reaching for her favorite wine glass.)

Mom! Put the corkscrew down and keep reading!

I will never actually go through with getting a tattoo, mostly because I personally can’t imagine liking the same image my whole life. I’m so fickle. But, that doesn’t prevent me from telling my girlfriends at Wine Night about my crazy ideas or admiring good body ink when I see it. (My new hair stylist Jordan at Trim has this very pretty feather tattoo on the inside of her forearm… and you know I love feathers!)

I think what got all of this started was seeing this wedding on Style Me Pretty and just loving the bride’s tats.

But, today, thanks to my favorite designer Susy*Jack, I found Amanda Wachob and her very artistic tattoos. Check it out:

These are awesome and crazy beautiful. What talent to make these very realistic tattoos! And so unique.

Also, here’s a very sweet combo of tattoo + calligraphy by B Dunlap. Yes please.

Kate, You can reach Mama Stu and me at the emergency room as a result of our joint massive heart attacks and the concussions we suffered when we collapsed to the concrete floor. Our recovery will be long and painful, but don’t worry: we’ll send you the bill. Much love.

Kate, I’m fine. It wasn’t a shock to me. I know that is the soup du jour these days. This particular posting proves one thing to me. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Love, ~Annette

Kate, I just read your “30 before Thirty” issue of Kate Schmate, leading me to this article. I had no idea you were thinking about a tattoo. I have to say I’m pretty excited – and want to be included. I’ll keep my eye out for some cool ideas – because, let’s face it, at the end of the day you’ll get one, and we’ve got to find a cool one.
