Letter Happy

June 17, 2010

My high school friend Cheryl recently moved to Seattle, and what better way to make your new living space a home but to buy things from Etsy? Cheryl sent me a list of some of the things she bought, including this awesome noodle print that I highlighted when talking about Laura George. Cheryl’s choices were great… I actually love seeing the favorite shops of friends because I can get a glimpse of their style plus learn of new sellers.

One favorite shop of Cheryl’s that I really loved was Letter Happy, a graphic design, illustration and typography Etsy shop. Christen Strang, aka Letter Happy, also wrote a great article in Etsy’s “The Storque” about the Gulf oil spill (Strang is from Mobile, AL). Beyond her passion for banding together to raise money for the spill, Christen has a great online shop. Here are some of my favorites.

“Let It Be” Print ($10) (Cheryl purchased this print!)

If it wasn’t consistently 90 degrees in Nashville, I’d love this scarf for summer evening wear with a tank top and jeans. “Sunny Skies” screenprinted jersey scarf ($22)

“Save our Gulf” tee ($22)

What?? A tea towel? With screenprinted ginkgos? Yes please! ($10)

Very cute flat notecards. ($5)

I still need a table runner for a short(ish) table. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

As I already told you, I love your site!
