A little bit of beach

September 15, 2010

JD and I just got back from six days at the beach… did I fool you? I don’t know a ton about blog privacy, but I do know that I shouldn’t tell you when I go on a vacation. I don’t want to lose another weed eater and blower, you know?

We had a great time enjoying the bright sun and the sandy shore. We were able to see both sets of parents, which was really nice. We watched movies (Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Switch… both of which I really liked), played a ton of games, slept at least nine hours every night, ate very well, and just spent time watching the waves roll in. It was the quality vacation I wanted. On Sunday, I took a really long walk along the beach with my iPod and listened to some good tunes. And, Lucy? Oh yeah, she had a pretty good time too.

Sadly, I only got a few pictures of the first half of the trip when my parents were in. But here are some good ones.

Below, my dad and I went crabbing and caught around 10 crabs! We threw most of them back but kept the funny guy below.

Mexican Train Dominoes… a very fun game, especially after some wine!

See? Lucy had a great time.

Yes, thanks for a great weekend, but good thing your momma takes a ton of photographs. It looks like you and JD had such a fun time that the camera was the last thing on your mind.
