Friday Feast: Brie and Prosciutto Sliders

March 4, 2011

To celebrate my friend Libby getting a new job (yay!), JD and I made her and her husband dinner. It was a fun meal, but we had leftovers: brie from the pre-dinner snack and dinner rolls. What do you do with random leftovers like that? Well, you make sliders, my friends! Beautiful, brie-filled sliders. (Who doesn’t love brie?)

JD and I actually anticipated we’d have leftovers before that initial dinner and picked up prosciutto at the store as well. We ended up making two types of sliders: Kate-style and JD-style.

Kate-style Brie Sliders

  • Honey wheat King’s Hawaiian roles
  • brie
  • prosciutto
  • granny smith apples

JD-style Brie Sliders

  • King’s Hawaiian roles
  • brie
  • prosciutto
  • pepperoni
  • bacon (duh)

They turned out beautifully and were easy to make. And they were quite yummy. Pair that with salad and beer, and you’ve got yourself one tasty “leftovers” meal.
