Hand-painted Wears

March 16, 2011

What’s with the new trend lately of hand-painted clothes? Isn’t anyone afraid of ruining their washing machine? Beyond hand-painted cats running up and down your shirt or Mario and Luigi shrines on Converses, there are some elegant options out there.

I made a treasury about this earlier today actually. It focuses on inexpensive hand painted fashions. You can link it if you like it. Here’s the web address. It’s called I heart painted clothes.

Also I’ve painted a lot of my own clothes over the years. If you use fabric paint or any kind of acrylic really I don’t see how it would effect your washer. Actually even paints that wash out like tempura are unlikely to remain in your machine unless you put a great deal more on than would be on your average garment.

just in case you’re interested :)
