No. 500 Diecut Wood Type Specimen by the Western New York Book Art Collective

After JD and I had been dating for one year, I gave him a group of gifts that were 12 in number: a dozen popsicles, a case of beer, 6 pairs of socks, and other fun things that meant stuff to us in a quantity of 12, for the months we’d been together. He really loved it (especially the beer part), and I always remembered the fun anniversary idea.

We’ve reached a similarly big milestone here on Schmate: 500 posts. Yet, I don’t really know what to do 500 times to celebrate.

So, just a note of appreciation: thanks, sweet readers, for hanging on with me and reading about my fun adventures in adulthood, weird shopping choices, neat things that I think are creative and pretty, and different food I make along the way.

It started with a Dave Barry quote in the first post on July 15, 2008, which I think pretty much summarizes what I do on this blog all the time.

I’m not promising that I’ll be around for another 500 posts, but I’m glad you’re with me now!
