Friday Feast: Couscous, you are lovely

My mom and dad recently gave us a bag of interesting couscous from Trader Joe’s, and I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to use it. Couscous does not come naturally to this Louisiana girl. The more I thought about it, the more I figured that couscous is just like rice or pasta… only a little more healthy. So I combined it with something generic: sausage and veggies. And it turned out great!

It’s so easy to make, and I actually used a chicken broth/water combo, plus butter, to boil the kernels. The outcome was quite tasty.
