Friday Feast: Put an egg on it
Well, it’s the end of the summer. Hot dogs and hamburgers… yeah, we’ve done our fair share of those. With the last two burger patties in the freezer, what do you do to make the last hamburger hoorah memorable? You put an egg on it.
After stealing our idea from the awesome Gabby’s Burgers and Fries in Nashville (have you gone there yet????), JD and I fried eggs and put them atop our burgers for a little extra protein and a great taste!
So, cook and prepare your burgers as usual: dress them as you like them. But, while the burgers need those last few minutes cooking, fry an egg in a skillet nearby, and slide the egg from the spatula to the meat when everything is done. I prefer the eggs to be over-hard, but JD suggested that over-easy would make a better sauce, like Gabby’s does it.
